Raleigh Christian Singles Request to join →

Privacy Policy

This policy explains what we collect when you use this website or ask to join Raleigh Christian Singles, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. Last updated 27 October 2026.

Who we are

Raleigh Christian Singles is a community group for Christian singles in the Raleigh area, run by Emilyanne Kellogg. Emilyanne is responsible for the personal data collected through this website. The website address is https://raleighchristiansingles.com, and you can reach her at [email protected].

What personal data we collect and why

When you ask to join

Our join form asks for your name, gender, date of birth, phone number, email address, the area you live in, how you heard about us, your social handles if you want to share them, and a set of questions about your interests, your faith and what you are looking for.

We use this to decide whether the group is a good fit, to plan events people will actually enjoy, and so we can recognise you when you turn up. We ask for your date of birth because this is an adult group and events are organised around age. When you send the form, your answers are saved on this website and emailed to Emilyanne.

When you email us

If you email us, we keep your message and your contact details so we can reply.

Information collected automatically

When the join form is submitted, our form software also records the IP address, browser and device it was sent from, and the country that IP address maps to. This is stored with your answers and is used to spot spam and abuse, and to show that the form was genuinely sent by the person whose details are on it.

The join form also uses Google reCAPTCHA to tell people apart from spam bots. To do that, reCAPTCHA collects information about your device and how you use the page, and sends it to Google.

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which parts of the site people use. It records the pages you view, how you found the site, your browser and device, and your approximate location. It does not tell us who you are.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies so it can tell one visit from the next, and Google reCAPTCHA may set cookies on the join form. We do not use advertising cookies.

If you have an account and log in to the site, WordPress also sets cookies to keep you logged in and remember your screen settings. Login cookies last two days, or two weeks if you tick “Remember Me”, and are removed when you log out.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers. We use a small number of services to run the group, and they handle data on our behalf:

  • Google delivers join requests to Emilyanne’s Gmail inbox, runs Google Analytics, and runs reCAPTCHA on the join form.
  • ZeptoMail sends the emails this website sends, such as the notice of a new join request.
  • Cloudflare sits in front of the website.
  • Our web host stores the website and its database.

We will also share information if we are legally required to, or if we genuinely believe someone is at risk of harm.

How long we keep your data

We keep your join request for as long as you are part of the group, as a record of what you told us. If you ask us to delete it, we will, apart from anything we have to keep for legal reasons.

What rights you have over your data

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct anything that is wrong, or ask us to delete it. You can also ask us to stop contacting you at any time.

Email [email protected] and we will sort it out. You do not have to give a reason.

Where your data is sent

The website and its database are hosted in the United States, and the services listed above are United States companies.

How we protect your data

The site runs over an encrypted connection. Join requests saved on the website sit behind a password-protected admin area.

Children

This is an adult group. The site is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us their details, please tell us and we will remove them.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
